What everyone is always wanting on the menu for any surf trip, is waves, waves, off-shores, no crowds and more waves.
Warm water is a great addition to the menu, and one or two somewhat larger days, to test the nerves and get the adrenaline squirting all over the place.
But sometimes it’s the actual menu – what food is on offer – that can really make a surf trip become the most enjoyable and surreal experience ever.
And it’s not just western food that we crave, and nor is it just local food.
As surfers who are pushing it up to 8 hours of a surfing a day, we have all become very knowledgeable of what gives us energy, and what lets us down when it comes to physical exertion.
Which is why we’ve developed our new menu from the ground up, with good, clean, energy-rich foods to help you stay top of your surfing game!
New menu
Many people know all about banting, and ketosis, and low carb, sugars, and high fat, and it is armed with this knowledge that we can all make intelligent choices about what we eat and why we eat it.
At Mandiri Break, our new day-to-day menu is pretty arresting at first glance. At second glance it appears that there is a chance that one might pick up weight here, with that amount of delicious food available and around.
It’ll take a whole pile of surfing hours to keep your energy intake and output in equilibrium.
Surfing is what you’re going to be doing though, with some of the most consistent year-round waves breaking a few meters from the resort and a ready supply of A-Grade waves just up the road and down the path.
In fact, you’ll need the delights off the menu to refuel, to keep going, to stay ahead on your ten-day surf trip.
